Orchestral Arranger and Conductor

I’ve had the privilege of captivating audiences worldwide with innovative collaborations and a passion for blending classical and contemporary music.

As an orchestral arranger and conductor, I’ve had the privilege of captivating audiences worldwide with innovative collaborations and a passion for blending classical and contemporary music.

Watch my interview with Mark and learn about my recent collabration with James Arthur here.

I’m particularly proud of pioneering the "symphonic edition," where I create orchestral arrangements for world-renowned singers and conduct the performances that follow. A recent highlight was my collaboration with James Arthur at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, a one-time charity event with the Lufthansa Orchestra. I orchestrated 14 of his songs for the concert, and three of those arrangements made it onto the deluxe edition of his Bitter Sweet Love album, which later topped the UK charts.

I’m also thrilled to be the first artist on the Arts and Culture Network’s management roster. In my recent conversation with the network, we mapped out my ideal cultural year—an imaginary journey full of surprising twists, humor, and moments that reflect my artistic path and influences.

I earned my Master’s in Conducting at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire under Andrew Mogrelia, with invaluable insights from Sir Simon Rattle. I went on to study with maestros like Christopher Adey, Frank Shipway, and Kenneth Kiesler, while Vernon Handley mentored me during my time with the English Symphony Orchestra. These experiences shaped my approach to conducting in unique ways.

Over my career, I’ve been fortunate to work with legendary figures in the field, such as Sir Malcolm Arnold, with whom I collaborated in Muscat, Oman, to conduct a concert of his music. I also led a rare performance of Arnold’s Organ Concerto at the Royal Opera House Muscat. Collaborations with modern composers Steve Reich, Alex Heffes, Thomas Simaku, Sven Helbig, and Richard Rodney-Bennett have further fueled my passion for contemporary music, as did premiering Frank Heckel’s Skyfall Concerto in Germany.

In 2005, I became the youngest conductor of the Cairo Symphony Orchestra. During that tenure, I worked with Daniel Barenboim and Mariam Said to help Egyptian musicians audition for the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra. I’ve since held roles as Chief Conductor of Kur Sinfonie Bad Nauheim, Principal Guest Conductor of the Capitol Symphony Orchestra Offenbach, and Associate Conductor of Neue Philharmonie Frankfurt.

Throughout my career, I’ve conducted many of the UK’s premier orchestras, including the London Philharmonic and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, and have performed across the U.S., China, and throughout Europe and the Middle East. I’ve also had the joy of working in film and video game music, conducting scores for projects like Philippe De Broca’s Vipère Au Poing, Sega’s Headhunter by Richard Jacques, and Sony’s Xenosaga by Yasunori Mitsuda.

Every new project brings new discoveries, and I’m looking forward to what lies ahead on this musical journey.
