Meet Romy Birchler (Intuitive digital creator and change agent) and discover her fantasy cultural year.

If you ever find yourself in a room with Romy Birchler, prepare to have a conscious conversation of creativity and connection. An intuitive digital creator with an eye for storytelling and an ear for meaningful dialogue, Romy blends artistry with impact.

The Journey Begins: Creativity Meets Consciousness

From the outset, Romy’s path was never going to be conventional.

Instead of following a well-trodden route, she wove together skills, experiences, and insights, guided by an innate curiosity and a deep reverence for the world around her.

Photography, storytelling, and digital media became the paintbrushes with which she coloured her journey, while a passion for conscious and sustainable living provided the canvas.

The Art of Building and Belonging

Not content with simply creating beautiful things, Romy felt a pull towards something deeper — building communities, platforms, and spaces where conscious business practices and sustainability weren’t just buzzwords but the very foundation of engagement. Her role as a Certified Conscious Business Change Agent allows her to help organisations transition towards more mindful, ethical models, particularly startups with big visions and bold ideas.

Connecting the Dots (and the People)

As a natural networker, Romy thrives on bringing people together, whether it’s clients, collaborators, or communities across the globe. Coordination with Humanity’s Team Switzerland has provided an avenue for her to unite individuals under a shared mission of awareness and transformation. Her work extends beyond borders, always driven by a belief in the power of collective energy.

A Story in Every Frame

Photography, for Romy, is more than just capturing images — it’s about rediscovering the magic in the world. Each frame tells a story, each click of the shutter honours the beauty of life. It’s this perspective that fuels her mission: to inspire, to connect, and to share. Every project, whether visual or strategic, carries the same thread — an appreciation for the sublime and an invitation for others to join in the dance of creativity.

A Path Enriched by Community

For Romy, the journey isn’t a solo endeavour. She believes in the richness of shared experience, in the strength of support, and in the generosity of those who uplift one another, as she continues capturing, creating, and connecting.

Romy Birchler's fantasy cultural year

Guided by founder of the Arts and Culture Network - Mark Walmsley, Romy Birchler embarked on an imaginative exploration of her passions — creativity, change and community.

A Global Study in how creativity helps organisations change

Mark proposed an ambitious, fictitious foundation-funded journey for Romy: a worldwide study on how creativity helps organisations change, interviewing entrepreneurs.

Romy proposed to begin in West Africa, a place she often visits.

Cultural Exploration & Time Travel Adventures

Their conversation turned playful as they continued to design Romy’s "fantasy cultural year," with Mark wielding a magic wand and a time machine.

They visited various countries, including Ghana, Chile, and Spain, experiencing different dance performances, national cuisines, and cultural events.

Romy expressed a preference for natural outdoor events, modern architecture, and the cuisine of Ghana and Spain.

They also discussed the possibility of stepping into the work of famous artists through virtual reality headsets.

The conversation concluded with their final destination being the Alhambra Palace in Granada, Spain, where they would enjoy a meal at a reserved table with a view of the palace.

Fantasy Lunch

Romy had the opportunity to end her year by having lunch with anyone, living or not, for which she chose her grandmother.

Through this imaginative exercise, Romy’s fantasy cultural year emerged as a deeply personal, intellectually stimulating, and adventure-filled journey, bridging change, the arts, and human consciousness.
