Founded by Pernilla Bennet, the studio integrates a deep passion for art and history into its interior designs, enhanced by Pernilla's extensive travel and cultural insights.
In our interview Mark Walmsley created Pernilla's fantasy cultural year. Expect some surprises, anecdotes, conversational detours and laughter.
House of Bennet’s portfolio predominantly features residential projects in Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK, along with select commercial ventures.
The studio’s success is rooted in its collaborations with skilled craftspeople and artists, combined with meticulous planning.
This strategy ensures high-quality outcomes, timely project delivery, and adherence to budget constraints.
House of Bennet offers a comprehensive array of services, including turnkey interior design, interior architecture, project management, art selection and creation, bespoke built-in solutions, textile design, and furniture design for private clients, businesses, architects, and developers.
Pernilla and her team approach each project with an open mind, recognizing the unique requirements of every client and space. They shun conventions and trends, focusing on creating distinctive, functional, and timeless interiors that reflect the client's personal history and experiences. Their designs honour the owner's life through art, furniture, textiles, materials, and collected objects, while also considering the building’s surroundings and history to enhance authenticity and value.
Pernilla Bennet, the creative director and project manager, brings a decade of experience to the field. She has a robust background in home textiles and fashion, holding a BA (Hons) (1st) in Interior Design from Staffordshire University, UK, and an MA (Hons) (1st) in Interior Design from De Montfort University, UK.
Additionally, she has a Bachelor's degree in economics, textile technology, and fashion design. Pernilla continuously expands her expertise through ongoing studies in art history, fashion forecasting, film in relation to fashion, European history, and environmental textiles. This extensive education and experience empower her to create interiors that are both meaningful and visually captivating.
