Meet Shanel Richardson.
Shanel Richardson, known as Shan or Shandwich_Artist in the digital world, is a skilled arts director, illustrator, 3D artist, digital designer, animator and Photoshop expert.
With lots of laughs, Mark and Shanel played the Art and Culture Hot Top 10 and the This or That game which you can watch above.
Currently the art director and digital artist at My Roots Go Deep, Shanel is the creative force of a historical fantasy graphic novel that enlightens its readers about the often-overlooked narratives of key figures in the African diaspora. With a keen eye for digital illustration, comic book artistry, and exceptional research skills, Shanel brings these untold stories to life.
In addition, Shanel wears the hat of Director at Littleshygifts, a design consultancy that collaborates with businesses to transform visions into tangible realities through art and media. With expertise in project management, planning, and business development, Shanel is behind the success of these ventures.
As an artist, she engages in a diverse array of projects with individuals and companies alike. Her repertoire includes character art, illustration, 3D modelling, motion graphics, and design. This artistic virtuosity is further demonstrated through her creative roles at Consor, Astro Racer and Lost Lore Library, where she took on various creative roles to drive the projects forward in their development. To date, she has illustrated 5 published client books, has worked on over 80 creative projects, and has successfully completed over 350 commissioned pieces of art.
She brings enthusiasm and creative problem-solving to every task, with a passion for helping realize exciting new projects through impactful art and design. In fact, she even challenges herself to do so in her Målarmöte sketch sessions, where she drafts and creates ideas for clients and curious onlookers in real time over Zoom.
In the landscape of digital art, Shanel stands as a beacon of creativity and innovation, leaving lasting visuals on the canvas of imagination.
