Meet Adrian Norman (Entertainment Entrepreneur and Artist Manager.)
Adrian Norman’s journey is a remarkable story of transformation and reinvention.
In our interview above I created entertainment entrepreneur Adrian's fantasy cultural year from the answers to some easy questions. Expect surprises, conversational detours, laughs and anecdotes.
Beginning his career in Guernsey’s finance sector at just 16, Adrian spent over 30 years excelling in the industry. He held key roles at prominent firms like Credit Suisse, Barings, and Odey Asset Management, ultimately achieving a leadership position with a hedge fund start-up—an apex in his financial career. Yet, for Adrian, professional success marked the start of a deeper exploration of his passions.
In 2017, Adrian embarked on a new chapter inspired by his lifelong love for music, first sparked in his teenage years.
What began as a creative outlet—managing a friend’s DJ career alongside his demanding finance role—soon grew into a full-fledged passion for artist management.
This pivot led to the founding of Orean Music, a boutique artist management company where Adrian now guides a dynamic roster of talent, including Thomas Irwin, ROZZZQWEEN, Max Ryan, James Carn, and LUXE.
Adrian’s extensive finance background lends him a distinctive edge in the music industry. His ability to blend sharp business acumen with creative vision helps his artists navigate the complexities of their careers, treating each client as a unique entrepreneurial venture.
Expanding his reach beyond artist management, Adrian introduced UniteVerse, a groundbreaking app aimed at transforming the nightlife and social scene. Designed to enhance safety, inclusivity, and enjoyment, UniteVerse offers personalised venue recommendations and insights on safety, accessibility, and transportation, revolutionising how people connect with their communities after dark.
Now living as a self-proclaimed “digital nomad,” Adrian expertly balances his work with artists, the UniteVerse roadshow, and the ever-evolving demands of the music industry. His path exemplifies adaptability, determination, and the courage to pursue passions, proving it’s never too late to rewrite your story.
Adrian’s philosophy is rooted in forging meaningful connections and fostering collaboration—whether in the boardroom or the green room. With a vision steeped in innovation and partnership, Adrian continues to leave an indelible mark on both the worlds of business and music.
A Fantasy Cultural Year: Adrian's Artistic Journey

Adrian Norman’s Fantasy Cultural Year, crafted during a conversation with Mark Walmsley of the Arts and Culture Network, takes him on an extraordinary journey celebrating art, music, and cultural exploration.
Here's a glimpse into his dream year:
Starting Point: Artist Management and Inspiration
Adrian’s passion for artist management anchors his fantasy year. Set in the shadow of London’s iconic St. Paul’s Cathedral, he envisions evenings with a chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc, engrossed in the thought-provoking Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield.
Global Talent Search in Africa
Adrian begins his adventure in Mombasa, Kenya, a hub of untapped artistic potential. Tasked by a fictitious wealthy foundation to discover and elevate unrecognised talent, he embraces Africa's vibrant music scene, focusing on genres like Afro House and exploring innovative art collectives.
Immersive Cultural Highlights
Dance through History: Transported to the dance floors of 1920s-30s Chicago or Detroit, Adrian witnesses the origins of nightclub culture and dance revolutions.
Virtual Artistry: Immersed in Salvador Dalí's surreal landscapes, he experiences melting clocks and dreamscapes come to life.
Culinary and Athletic Delights: Dining on Peruvian cuisine and cheering at a Kenya vs. England rugby match offer rich sensory contrasts.
Curated Cultural Evenings
Mark joins Adrian for a week of cultural indulgence:
Monday: A Depeche Mode concert, revisiting a missed chance from Adrian’s past.
Tuesday: The timeless Les Misérables, blending theatre and musical storytelling.
Thursday: A grand performance of Tosca at the Royal Opera House.
Friday: A cinematic screening of The Piano, a film admired for its artistic depth and moving soundtrack.
Unique Musical Constraints
For 12 months, Adrian commits to listening exclusively to electronica, diving deep into artists like Bicep, Faithless, and Massive Attack. Upon lifting the restriction, he celebrates with a dose of indie rock and classic rock ‘n’ roll.
Hero Day in Mombasa
Adrian enjoys a two-hour lunch with Nelson Mandela at a Peruvian-Kenyan fusion restaurant. Together, they discuss shared aspirations for equality and the transformative power of art. In a twist, they ponder who Mandela would choose for such a conversation, sparking thoughts of other world-changing figures like Haile Selassie or Jesus Christ.
Legacy and Reflection
Adrian's fantasy year culminates in a book deal, a TED Talk, a global university lecture tour, and a Netflix series titled Untapped Talent. As he sips his final glass of Sauvignon Blanc on the journey home, he reflects on a year filled with discovery, artistry, and unforgettable experiences.
Adrian’s fantasy cultural year exemplifies the joy of blending passion with adventure, creating a narrative that’s both inspiring and unforgettable.
